The business line supports power system transformation by aligning trading activities, steering market operations, policy updates, and overseeing contracts planning and customer engagement to ensure compliance with best practices.

Market Supply Chain Business Line

The Market Supply Chain Business Line manages fuel and utility related commercial agreements.

It also develops, oversees, operates and maintains fuel and utility pipeline projects. Responsibilities include planning and securing fuel supply for power plants, monitoring fuel supply chains and operational indicators to ensure the continuity of supply, as well as managing the logistics of land and marine fuel delivery. Also, the business line prepares and monitors the fuel budget and manages fuel invoices and inventory transactions.

Strategy & Planning Business Line

The Strategy and Planning business line is responsible for developing and implementing the company's strategic plan

In support of its vision and objectives. This includes planning for the future capacity of the electrical system through a mid-term execution plan aimed at achieving the optimal energy mix set by the Ministry of Energy, in addition to managing the processes for determining the company's required revenue, alongside monitoring the performance of the electrical system and the economic operation processes to ensure efficiency and reliability. The business line is also responsible for monitoring the company's projects, exploring energy markets, developing and improving internal processes and procedures, in addition to enhancing operational excellence. Also, it includes aligning the company's activities and operations with best practices in the areas of Environment, Social responsibility, and Governance (ESG).

Power Export and New Projects Program

The Power Export and new Projects program is responsible for optimizing Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's

Energy resources by trading electricity with interconnected countries, through exploring trading opportunities, negotiating agreements, scheduling energy, processing payments for traded energy, and imbalance settlement. Additionally, the program focuses on innovation and new projects for clean energy, ensuring sustainable and efficient energy solutions for the future.

Market Development Business Line

The Market Development Business Line is responsible for tendering and developing power generation and energy storage projects

Through Independent Power Producer (IPP) models that include renewable and conventional energy assets. It leads the full project lifecycle, from early-stage feasibility and site assessment, through agreement signing, to financial close and commercial operations. The Market Development Business Line partners with global and local developers, investors, and lenders to structure bankable and competitive projects. It also manages competitive tenders and project procurement processes, ensuring transparency, maximizing value, and alignment with national energy goals, and achieving the optimal energy mix set by the Ministry of Energy.
